Olon Spa a leading pharmaceutical company in the API industry seeks for its Corporate Engineering facility: Project Engineer
Purpose of the position:
The position will be placed within the Corporate Engineering team and will independently manage investment projects. In detail, the resource will be in charge of coordinating investment projects for the group sites (New plants, new production lines, revamping of existing plants) by coordinating the design, procurement management, installation and start up of the plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position manages and coordinates investment projects in terms of technical solutions, time and cost;
- With the support of external engineering companies, manages plant design activities;
- Coordinates EMSs (Subject Matter Experts) from the Automation, Instrumental, Electrical and Civil Construction Areas for the implementation of the plants;
- Ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations and maintenance of site standards in EHS for the area of his/her responsibility;
- Takes care of the documentation and formalization of interventions to be carried out, so that they can also be carried out directly by external companies, in compliance with current plant procedures;
- Collaborates in the definition of the investment budget and monitors its progress during project implementation;
- Takes care of all issues of GMP compliance and IQ/OQ qualification of plants;
- Takes care of the archiving of technical documentation;
- Interfaces directly with technicians of external customers in CDMO project scope;
- Takes care of purchasing on the technical side by interfacing with The Purchasing Department for commercial aspects;
- Interfaces with Project Managers for the management of CDMO projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to develop technical purchase and procurement specifications;
- Knowledge of main GMP aspects and plant commissioning & qualification process;
- Knowledge of regulations regarding pressure equipment (PED), explosive environments (ATEX) and the Machinery Directive;
- Ability to work in a team and simultaneous leadership skills;
- Aptitude for problem-solving, ability to coordinate operational teams and to fit into the process of troubleshooting and plant emergencies;
- Ability to interact with all plant functions/departments (Production, HS&E, QA, Logistics) and corporate (Purchasing Department, Administration);
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical (preferred) or mechanical engineering;
- At least 5 years’ experience in chemical/manufacturing chemical pharmaceutical and/or food companies in engineering/maintenance areas;
- Knowledge of MS -Office package, SAP ERP and Autocad.
- Good knowledge of the English language
