Technical Office Engineer

Olon S.p.A. is an Italian company, a world leader in the production of active ingredients (APIs) for the general market and in CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing).

Olon has 11 production sites: 8 in Italy, 1 in Spain, 1 in the USA and 1 in India and 3 sales subsidiaries.

We are looking for a Technical Office Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering structure based in Rodano (MI).

The resource will report operationally to the Site Engineer Manager and will be responsible for defining and implementing Industrial Engineering projects in support of technical and maintenance facilities at manufacturing sites.

The subject resource will be responsible for:

  • Support manufacturing facilities in the development and implementation of projects for plant modifications or insertion of new machinery/processes;
  • Perform and propose feasibility studies for the implementation of plant and process improvements;
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety and environmental constraints during all phases of processing and implementation of plant modification projects;
  • Ensure the proper execution of optimization and modification projects by overseeing the work and managing relationships with contractors and suppliers in support of the Engineering and Maintenance organizations at manufacturing sites;
  • Collaborate with other functions in the commissioning and startup phases of projects, ensuring support in case of anomalies during work and will ensure compliance with HSE and within company guidelines;
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues in the area and other plant technical areas in order to integrate their mechanical hydraulic and chemical skills based on specific assigned projects.

Skills Required:

  • 3 to 5 years in role related to Industrial engineering projects, with preference to Chemical – Pharmaceutical area;
  • Proven experience in Industrial Chemical settings with focus on aspects of Plant and new machinery installation, routine maintenance and extraordinary maintenance;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, with preference in Chemical and Mechanical fields;
  • Solid experience in Budget Management;
  • Knowledge of P&ID logics and implementations;
  • Skill in negotiation stages with suppliers related to managed projects;
  • Experience in implementing International standards, certifications and operating procedures (FAT, SAT and ATEX);
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD and SAP;
  • Knowledge of electronic calculation tools and Office package;
  • Knowledge of English language will be considered a plus.
